Steward Your Story
Your story matters, and in this blog, we’ll explore the profound implications of having a story…
Hi there! I am Meliza.
I am a wife and mum of two awesome kids. Life is full here in Preston, UK. When I am not running the household or playing taxi, I am writing books, developing courses, and coaching people – helping them to walk in freedom; in their true identity and purpose.
I love what I do and I enjoy my life – but this was not always how I would tell my story.
My story started in an ideal setting. I was born and raised in beautiful South Africa. The first-born daughter of a pastor. My parents loved me dearly and provided a great life for me and my sister. But like any story, there are often twists and turns that we don’t anticipate. Enter: an enemy that comes to kill, steal and destroy.
Left in the pit of despair with little hope of freedom, empty from pouring myself out for everyone, and tired from trying to fix my own self-destructive behaviours, I was ready to give up on God. It felt like He didn’t see or care about me. It felt like my desperate cries for freedom fell on deaf ears.
But one day, God showed up on the big screen. At the cinema on the docks in Preston, He showed me that, He not only saw my suffering, but He cared deeply about my heart. It was time to move out of the pit of despair and into the palace where I belonged – seated in heavenly places with the Father who loves me.
Beautiful friend, I know he sees and cares about you too.
If you feel stuck and frustrated, unable to get free, and on the brink of giving up: YOU ARE IN GOOD COMPANY.
You are here for a reason. The Father wants you to get untangled from all the lies you are believing so that you can walk in the freedom and purpose you were created for. And it starts with finding out who you truly are, and how much you are loved.
And I am so happy to say that I can show you and walk this journey with you.
It is possible to know 2 Corinthians 5:17 says that you are a new creation, and still keep tripping over your bad habits and self-destructive behaviours.
It is possible to know Romans 8:1 says that God does not condemn you and still beat yourself up for the slightest mistake.
It is possible to know Galatians 5:1 says that it is for freedom that Christ set us free, but still feel be stuck in a pit of despair, unable to change or move forward.
I know that it’s possible, because I was that girl, sitting in the pit of despair, unable to get free…

…Through Meliza’s powerful story, she exposes how the enemy’s intent is to rob, not only her but you and me, of our rightful place in the Kingdom…Even if you’ve seen the movie before, I guarantee you won’t look at it the same after reading this powerful book.

“Untangled is full of empowering, encouraging keys to personal freedom. Meliza writes with such an honest, caring voice. She takes you by the hand and leads you in to the loving truth of the Father’s heart–This book is golden!”
“What an incredible read. Meliza really brings to life the raw truths that everyone faces from one degree to another, and how God helps us overcome these situations by simply allowing ourselves to lean into Him and open our hearts to Him.
I am so grateful that a book like this has been written. Meliza is truly the real deal and her journey from “tangled” to “untangled” is a very inspiring read. It was precisely the movie “Tangled” that became her heart opener and a strong testimony began its beginnings. Meliza’s has allowed us to follow her step by step in the process of discerning the voice of the Lord and who He is. who she is and who she belongs to and follows.
